La Vinya del Vuit

La Vinya del Vuit is one of the most special projects we have experienced in Priorat. It was born in 2001, when eight friends, all of them winegrowers or people closely linked to wine, decided to recover an old, abandoned vineyard near Gratallops.

Vinya del Vuit bottle collection

Every bottle of La Vinya del Vuit is not just a wine from a very special vineyard, but also a small object that reflects creativity, friendship, and the passage of time in this landscape.

The name is very simple. It is the vineyard of the eight.
More than a business project, it was a way of sharing a vineyard, of learning from it together and of making a wine that reflected this collective work. Everyone contributed their experience, but the goal was simply to look after that plot and see what wine was born from it.

About the vineyard

The vineyard is over seventy years old and is planted mainly with Carignan, with some Grenache vines. It grows on llicorella soils, the characteristic slate of Priorat, which gives the wines a very particular depth.

A vineyard shared among friends

The work in the vineyard is done with great respect for the landscape and on a very small scale. Everything is harvested by hand and production is always very limited.
Over the years, the wine has become a small benchmark within Priorat, but for us it remains the same as at the beginning: a vineyard shared among friends.

One wine, a thousand stories

One wine, a thousand stories

Over time, in addition to the wine itself, another element has gained a very special identity within the project: its labels. Each vintage has a different design, making each bottle a unique piece that accompanies the history of that year and the vineyard.
The labels were created by the designer Joanji Beltrán, who has been able to interpret the spirit of the project and transform it into a visual collection that evolves with each harvest. His designs, always different, have become an essential part of the identity of La Vinya del Vuit.
Over the years, these labels have acquired a personality of their own and have even been recognized in design awards, proving that the project not only looks after the wine and the vineyard, but also the way its story is told.
